Journal Article The specimens were collected from northern Iran using the sweeping net and Malaise traps during 2010-2019. A total of 25 species were identified, of which four species are recorded for the first time from Iran: <em>Choerades femorata</em> (Meigen, 1804),<em> Dysmachus dentiger</em> Richter, 1962,<em> Heteropogon ornatipes</em> Loew, 1851, and<em> Neomochtherus schineri</em> (Egger, 1855). Also, some species are new provincial records for the northern provinces of Iran.
